Hello, I try on my printer via symnc access (WLAN)
Symnc 1. (51), N97, fritz.box. Wireless MP640 printer

Symnc found my Fritzbox is, where it can also access the deallocation, as Win7 on my PC, but my printer does not appear in symnc. on the PC the printer is available at \ \ MP640 \ canon_memory and aviable

If I directly address the network drive I get the error Decimal -6

Work with network printers is not included in SymNC.
It looks like that current mobile phones are simply not ready for this task yet.

If you have S60 5th phone, then you can access printer in RDP session on computer that is accessing phone files via SymNAS functionality included in SymNC.

But do not turn on the pc .. thought you need to access network drives?
I do not want the handy print. but to access the drive from the printer deallocation

There is no native printer support in Symbian OS, therefore native printing from Symbian OS application is not possible.

Before you are able to use printer from your computer, you need to install driver for this printer.
Such drivers exist for many Operating Systems, but there is none for Symbian OS.
Exist some "way around" kind of solutions for E-Series Nokia phones via PCL (Printer Control Language developed by HP), but again, still there is no native support for printers.

I am sorry, but I have a hard time to understand this situation.
Accordingly to manufacturer's infromation about Canon PIXMA MP640, this printer does not have any Storage that can be accesible as a Network Share.
Please contact our customer support with reference to this thread and provide detailed description on what are you trying to achieve during access to this Network Printer from SymNC.

The printer has a network drive from the pc I can access them see the first contribution.
I would like for example If I will documente scan (stored on the drive of the printer), they retrieve from the mobile off and zb send by mail.
Canon says the support of the zugriff is equipped with the right of each

Lets check if we indeed are dealing with "Network Drive" provided by printer.

1. Go on computer that you are using to access this "network drive from printer".
2. On this computer, download and install NetResView software from this site: www.nirsoft.net
3. Start the software and you will see window with "Advanced Options", leave all default options and click OK. Then wait for some period of time, it may takes a few minutes while will be collected all needed information about network.
4. Then click on "View" > "HTML Reports - All Items", it will open html file with information about Network Resources. Save this information into file and send it to Telexy's customer support with reference to this thread.

So, according to the manufacturer's protokol smb,
with the version now I can see the printer would occur, however, still
0xffffffed unknown error -19.
what does this announcement?

Here is my reply that was sent to you over Email at February 23, 2010:
Thank you for contacting us and providing all needed information.
I had a look at attached Report.html file and accordingly to this file we have the following situation.

1. You printer is providing to network an information about itself as a network device with name MP640 and software NetResView is classifying a Resource Type for this device as a "Computer" from network configuration point of view.
All this is fine so far.

2. However, the same software NetResView is NOT showing any Network Shares that are provided from MP640.
That means that MP640 is not providing Network Sharing. That means that you are accessing information on this printer via some OTHER protocols. That is why SymNC cannot access this information on that printer.
SymNC is working with Networks Shares via protocols SMB and CIFS. It is a standard protocols for Network Sharing, at least for Windows network.

That is why, I am afraid we will not be able to solve this problem because it will change an original scope that was selected for SymNC software.

Canon and any other Customer Support could have some mistakes.

Here is Canon PIXMA MP640 specification.
Another Canon PIXMA MP640 specification.
Third Canon PIXMA MP640 specification.
There are NO a single word SMB, CIFS, or even Access and Share in these specifications.

On top of it, NetResView software in your own test is not showing any shares associated with this printer.
