On Nokia E72, when I try to connect the phone just reboots.
Just purchased symvpn, did not even go to trial. I have a Nokia E72 phone. When ever I say verify the phone just reboots. Here is the info

It looks like that 2010/Jan/09 the Trial version of SymVPN 1.00 was registered for your phone.
1. Is there any chance that someone else can use your phone as well or you may recall registrering SymVPN 1.00 Trial licence?
2. If you were using SymVPN 1.00 Trial licence at that time, did you notice a reboot problem at that time?
3. Have you made a firmware upgrade on this phone since 2010/Jan/09 ?

I have requested one of our users to make some tests on his E72 phone.  Here is the test description:



 1. Download latest SymVPN 2.00 from www.telexy.com  and install it on your phone.
 2. Restart your phone!
 3. Start SymVPN 2.00 and perform Download and Registration TRIAL version.
 4. In SymVPN, go to Options > Add new
 5. Fill up the following information for requested fields:
 Name: SwissVPN-Test
 Access Point: [Select already existing working Wi-Fi Access Point on
 your phone]
 Host: connect.swissvpn.net
 Account: ....
 Here you should press Options > Add new and fill up with following
 User: swissvpntest
 Password: swissvpntest
 Then will appears account record "swissvpntest" and when you are on this
 record, please hit Done.
 Then hit Done again.
 At this point will be created a record about new VPN Access Point and
 this record will be called "SwissVPN-Test".
 
6. Now, while you are staying on this record, hit Options and then Verify.

7. Repeat this Verify process 3 times.
 
7.a. If you have working 3G or GPRS Access Point on your phone, please
 use this Access Points in another Verify tests,
 but before doing this test, Modify created record "SwissVPN-Test" and
 select new Access Point (3G or GPRS) accordingly.
 
8. Describe for me what do you have after performing this Verification.
 
9. Please let me know the firmware version on your E72 phone as well.

I have done the test of SymVPN 2.00 on my E72:

-- Created the SwissVPN-Test VPN as described below with Wi-Fi access point
-- After selecting Verify three times it displayed the following screens:

(I'd just like to point out the "Ip" instead of "IP" in "Ip Address".)

As we can see SymVPN 2.00 is working fine on E72 with firmware version 022.007.
You have more latest firmware version on your phone: 023.002.000.01
It looks like you are using E72-2 (RM-530, slightly different hardware) and user who have made the above test is using E72-1 (RM-529, slightly different hardware) for which the latest firmware is 022.007.
 
In this situation I will suggest the following.

1. Please send to Telexy's customer support the list of all software that is installed on your phone, probably we will notice something from that list.
2. Please perform on your phone the test described above and let us know the result.

1. I installed the trial but did not try to connect to vpn, so it was only installed. Later on when I saw version 2.0 out I bought it.

2. Did not use it, only installed so there was no issue.

3. Yes, I upgraded firmware to latest Nokia version in March

I will run the tests and get back to you
