S60v3 support please

I was quite excited when I saw the anoncement of SymRDP in my mailbox recently. And what a disappointment when I saw "S60v5 only" Sad

Would have been very nice native RDP client to add to the system administration set of tools to my E90 Communicator.

Despite the 'compatibility' warning, I decided to try it. It almost works - I can login to the server and see the screen. I can scroll up/down the welcome screen on the server using the arrows. App crashes when I press the right action button tough Sad

Nice work. Lets hope next Nokia Communicator will use Symbian touch based OS

PS - I love SymVPN!!!

Thanks for this suggestions.
I am sorry for this unfortunate news for many S60 3rd users, but so far there is no plans for SymRDP for S60 3rd. Time will tell if something will be changed in future in this direction.

On the other hand, I hardly can imagine that anyone who once have tried SymRDP on touchscreen phone and then went back to S60 3rd again.

It's really saddening that there most likely won't be a 3rd edition version, a proper RDP client is the only thing we're lacking, its so frustrating that SymRDP works just fine on a 3rd edition phone, but the inability to change the mode to cursor and be able to move the mouse with the cursor just stops me dead in my tracks.

Telexy, should you ever decide to change your minds and show us 3rd edition users some love, my wallet is open for you!

Sorry for this answer but at this time we don't see business potential in this particular software for S60 3rd.
Without that it is really hard to expect that we will be able to find an appropriate time for this project in our busy scheduler.
If enough interest is generated we may reconsider.

I would love to see this for S60v3 too. I recently bought a Nokia E52, and it would be extremely useful, not to mention awesome, to be able to use remote access to my home PC with it.
