Problem with symRDP refreshrate (agains iRAPP on Mac)

Goodmorning, I have just downloaded and installed on my 5800 the trial version of symNC. It's really a good software! But I have a problem: I connected my phone with my mac using symRDP and iRAPPserver on my mac. The connection is working, I can se my mac on 5800's screen, and logging in. The problem is that on the phone screen, the refresh rate is really too slow, like 2 second of delay between the input and the changing of view, making the software unusable.. where is the problem? How to solve?
An other problem with symNC is that I can see the shared file and folder of my mac on the phone, but I can't access to the shared folder of the phone on my mac(the same thing on my father winxp pc is possible, and I can also see my father shared folder on my mac).

From my experience I can say that SymRDP is working really fast with Windows based RDP servers via Wi-Fi or 3G connections
and it is still usable in most cases even over slower GPRS connection.

About SymRDP usage with iRAPPserver on Mac computer. We didn't test it, so it is hard to say right away something certain about this case.
Please try to reduce the value for "Color depth" parameter for RDP session in SymRDP configuration (RDP link in SymNC) and see if that will help.
What connection type are you using in this case on your phone, is it Wi-Fi, 3G or GPRS? What is the speed for this connection?
Can you access this Mac computer from RDP session from another, preferably Windows based computer, if so, how speed is in this case?
Can you access Windows based RDP server from your phone via same connection and see how is speed in this case?

Please have a look at this paragraph: "4.3.1.3 Mac" on page #30 in SymNAS User Guide. Hopefully it may provide some help.

Thank you very much for your answers. I tried reducing the "Color depth" without any significative advantage. I'm using wifi as connection, and I think it's not a connection speed problem because my router and my network is very fast. I'll try to access to my mac from my father pc, the problem is that he has a windows xp home edition, and so I think that is not possible to access it from my phone via your software..is it correct? Anyway, I'll let you know if i'll be able to make symRDP working with a speedy and usable connection with my mac!

For the second problem instead with the guide that you linked to me I have resolved!

I see. Please check if there are some configuration parameters on iRAPP Server side that may be changed in order to improve speed. Probably you may ask about this situation on some Mac OS related forums and chances are that someone may provide a good advise.

About iRAPP software on your Mac, what is the exact software name and version number?
As I can see on developer website, exist iRAPP, iRAPP TS and iRAPP Glove. Accordingly to developer website, from May 26th, 2010 a new version is available, iRAPP 1.7 build 20100525 and this version is introduced as a version with multiple performance improvements.
If you are using one of the earlier iRAPP versions, probably you could upgrade and see if there will be any differences.

About Windows XP Home edition. You can use it as a RDP Client, but cannot use it as RDP Server. That means that you can use Windows XP Home edition computer to access other computer with RDP Server, but you cannot access Windows XP Home edition from another computer via RDP connection. In your case you should be able to use Windows XP Home to access Mac computer with RDP Server (and this is the most interesting test in this case!), but you cannot access Windows XP Home from Mac nor from SymRDP.
Please let us know about RDP access from Windows XP Home to Mac with iRAPP Server.

Also, you may have a look at this: Aqua Connect Mac Remote Desktop.
Again, newer tried and it is stated that the software is in the Beta stage. Probably there is a chance to have some test with this software too.
